OUR APPROACH

Work with a Prioritized School
We work together with a prioritized school, characterized by a limited State intervention, located in an urban slum in the Central District of Honduras. Together we established a local school committee composed of the School Director and two committed teachers.
Identify and Connect
The school committee is responsible for identifying girls at risk of dropping out of school. The selection is based on a diagnosis that includes important indicators that help us make the best decision. Among them, economic scarcity, family situation, racial challenges, the situation of single mothers and, most importantly, the commitment of girls and their families. Niña identifies the best approach and serves as the primary communication channel, connecting a girl with a donor, encouraging engagement, conscious citizenship and global participation.

Ensure Resources and Report
Niña is responsible for ensuring all necessary resources including uniforms, school supplies, internet for research and homework support, sanitary pads and extracurricular activities that help us connect, encouraging resources girls to stay in school, while monitoring the process and keeping you updated about the progress of each girl.
